Tara Armand - National Board Certified
Tara Armand is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Master's degree in Elementary Educational Leadership.
Both of her daughters attended South Highlands and refer to that time as their favorite school experience. Tara has been
teaching first grade at SHM for the past 10 years and looks forward to teaching Drama to all of our students this year and
the years to come.

Tara Jones graduated with a Bachelor Degree from Grambling State University. She is certified to teach grades 1 through 6 and comes to South Highlands with 18 years of teaching experience. Ms. Jones has a passion for teaching language arts and is happy to be an SHM tiger. In her free time she enjoys spending her day with her son.

Janet McCrevan
Janet McCrevan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Montavallo in Montavallo, Alabama in 1989 where she majored in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She received her Master's Degree from the University of Montavallo in 1992 in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. She has various experiences teaching kindergarten, first, and second grades in the states of Alabama, Florida, Texas, and Louisiana since 1990. Mrs. McCrevan is married to Deverron and has one daughter. Gabrielle. Mrs. McCrevan enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and traveling.
Rachel Rice
Rachel graduated from LSUS in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree is Elementary Education. She began her teaching career at Shreve Island Elementary where she taught third grade and STEM Lab. Rachel is married to Joel and they have two children, Carl and Frances. She loves spending time outdoors with her family.

Cindy Lott - Gateway ELA K - 2
Cindy Lott is a Gateway teacher at South Highlands Magnet School. She is married to Greg and has 2 children, Henry Cole and Mary Helen. Cindy graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1993 and went on to get her masters in education at University of Monroe. She taught first grade in the Ouachita Parish Schools for 3 years before she moved to Shreveport. Cindy taught Kindergarten at South Highlands for 4 years and left for a few years to be a mom to her 2 kids. She returned to South Highlands in 2007 and is teaching Gateway K-2nd grade. Cindy enjoys being a mom and teaching her sweet students. She enjoys reading and playing with her two dogs Buzz and Sally
