                                                Carl Billingy
                                                Carl Billingy graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2000. Carl started out teaching all subjects to fourth grade in Bossier Parish in 2002. He moved to South Highlands Elementary Magnet in 2004, where he is teaches fifth grade math. Carl is married to his wife Mary. They have 2 sons and a daughter living in the Netherlands and one son living in Florida. Carl is retired from the United States Air Force and still loves to travel when he gets a chance.

                                                Mary Camden - National Board Certified
                                                Mary graduated with a B.S. from Northwestern State University in 1985. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy:  Reading-Language Arts/Early and Middle Chilldhood. Mary began her teaching career at St. Joseph's School in 1985 and continued in Bossier Parish in 1990. She has teaching experience in grades first through sixth. In Bossier Parish she assisted in obtaining 8G Grants for technology to improve school-wide instruction. She also obtained Grants to increase classroom activities. In the year 2000, she was honored to receive "Teacher of the Year" for Curtis Elementary. Mary and her husband, Mike, have three children, Michael, Emily and Caroline.

                                                Judy Smithson
                                                Judy Smithson graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Judy taught Special and Regular Elementary Education for ten years in Arkansas before moving to Shreveport. After moving to Shreveport she has taught at several schools in Caddo Parish grades two through five. For five summers she served as Master Teacher for Elementary Teachers at Centenary College in a Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program dealing with Earth Science. Judy moved to South Highlands Elementary Magnet in 2003 and taught in the Science Lab until 2010 when she moved to 5th grade science/social studies!  Judy has one son, Kris, and two grandchildren; Kristofer and Hope. When she is not spending time with them she enjoys gardening and participating in the Mardi Gras Krewe of Centaur.

                                                Sharon Parker
                                                Sharon Parker graduated with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana Tech University and a M.Ed. from LSU-S. Sharon began teaching in 1979 and has experience in three elementary schools in Caddo Parish. She began teaching at South Highlands in 2005. Sharon has worked with children from infants through fifth grade. When her children were young, Sharon directed two preschool programs in Shreveport. Sharon has been married to her husband Gary since 1982. They have three children, Jordan, Lauren, and Adam. All three of their children attended South Highlands and were enrolled in the Gateway program. In her free time, Sharon enjoys family time, reading, traveling, and attending her children’s school and athletic functions.
